Why Lọ́rẹmola? It means gifted and wealthy. It’s coined from my three names: Oyíndàmọ́lá (Honey combined with wealth), Olúwatamílọ́rẹ (God has given me a gift) and Dáramọ́lá (Goodness with wealth). Just take a moment to bask in the weight of meaning behind those names.
There’s a yoruba proverb that says “Orukọ ọmọ ni n ro ọmọ”. It means: a child is influenced by his/her/their name. I believe that I truly embody each of my names. My sweetness flows from the gifts that God has bestowed upon me and this is the true source of all my wealth.
Someone once told me that a gift (ọrẹ) is pointless when hidden. I believe that each of us has something or some things embedded in us that we must give voice to. I’m here to give voice to mine. Here you will find various expressions of who I am and how I view the world. I hope that they bring you joy or at least inspire you to give voice to whatever is in you and clamouring to be shared.
